Reclaimed Home

I’m a huge fan of reusing building materials. When I worked in high end residential architecture, it always bothered me that perfectly good items got carted away with the other demolition trash. In my own house the doors, tubs, kitchen cabinets, countertops, sinks, faucets,  appliances, water heater and most of the furniture all came from other people’s houses. All these items are “new to me” as my mother likes to call it.  And that’s why I love sites like Reclaimed Home, launched in 2007 by Phyllis after years of home restorations. The blog  encourages people to build green by using salvaged materials, and the  store sells vintage and upcycled home products as well as some personal items.

And in full disclosure, they have said very nice things about our site . . .nice things about Swee10.

“I really liked how Sweeten made the process of vetting licensed contractors easy for me. I felt confident knowing that I wasn't hiring a GC with forged credentials or wasnt qualified.”
