Renovations During
COVID-19

Home, sweet, home” inspired the name of our company, Sweeten, and needless to say, we love turning houses into homes. Creating physical spaces for people is one part of what we do, but more importantly, our goal is to help as many people as possible find a place in the world where they feel settled, grounded, and safe. Right now, we are in uncertain times and are all in need of stability.

Our number one goal is to support our community of homeowners, general contractors, and employees while keeping everyone safe and healthy.

With COVID-19 (Coronavirus) cases on the rise, we want to assure you that we are closely monitoring the outbreak and following all local, state and federal directives. With that said, planning a renovation can take time and much of the early-stage planning can be accomplished remotely while adhering to all safety precautions.

Through Sweeten, you can:

  • Get a digital shortlist of 3-5 contractors, online
  • Plan virtual site visits and interviews, using video technologies
  • Receive online estimates in one singular dashboard
  • Sign contracts online
  • Make payments digitally

For Current Customers

Sweeten is here for you. Sweeten employees are working safely from home and are here to help you navigate decisions and obstacles over the coming months. If you’d like to talk through any construction concerns, please feel welcome to email us via [email protected]. We can set up a video or phone call at your convenience, with extended availability between 9am and 9pm, EDT.

We are all adjusting to new challenges. State and local guidelines are changing daily; many buildings and management companies have paused non-emergency alterations; property owners are postponing or adjusting work plans; and we are supporting individual general contractors who need to adapt to their crew’s health concerns. We also expect delays in material availability and shipment lead times, as well as adjustments to typical options for pick-up and delivery of fixtures and finishes. All of this is to say that there are many factors affecting renovations right now. We will continue adhering to public directives and aiming for common sense problem-solving at the individual project level.

Sweeten has given guidance to general contractors encouraging vigilant on-site hygiene and caution for managing interactions with clients and crew members in cases where onsite work is necessary and permissible. Many contractors are equipped to offer remote walkthroughs and meetings, and some are considering site-specific ways to move work forward while complying with increasingly stringent local requirements. We are available to discuss your project and any concerns you may have.
