New York City. For theSweeten, the city is home to our network members, staff, and to the home & business-owners who post their projects to our site. With our new headquarters in Manhattan’s Lower East Side, and traction on various projects throughout the city, we have definitely felt the impact of this week’s Frankenstorm, Sandy.
While our office is without power, fortunately, our team is safe and sound. Our hearts go out to those up and down the coast who have endured the impacts of the storm or suffered losses in its wake.
Our mission is to help all people to have well-designed, well-constructed and well-maintained homes or places of business. We hope that for those affected by Sandy, the rebuilding happens quickly and safely. In NYC, efforts to restore homes, communities and infrastructures are under way. Next week, we will continue our regular weekly Site Visit series with a final look at the completed renovation of this Boerum Hill loft (and former home of ‘the pod’).
Best wishes, from the humbled & grateful team at theSweeten.
