Upper Westside BathroomsPosted by Mary Ann G. in Upper West Side
We need to update our two UWS bathrooms.
Design and Build
Falling apart; Outdated
We need our master bath and hall bath updated. Originally there was a shower between the two bathrooms but the previous owners made it in to a closet. So there are makeshift showers in the tubs. The hall bath shower does not work. Therefore, we only have one working shower. The hall bath is in better shape than the master bath.
Scope of work
Hall bath - update and have a working shower. New tile and floor.
Master bath - fix crumbling wall, new tile, new floor and possible toilet and tub.
They were very professional team from the sales office, to the on site team. I worked with Jonathan and the sales rep Peter. Both were very helpful. Jonathan was the GC and helped us plan the space. I trusted his judgement.
There were several unexpected changes and or surprises during the renovation of our two bathrooms. For example, we were converting a closet, that was once an original shower, back to a shower. It was a small boutique shower and it was suppose to be all glass to make it look larger. However, when the walls were removed, there was a large pipe that needed to stay, which meant the glass shower would be compromised. Jonathan, the GC on the job, came up with a solution that was very pleasing and saved the glass shower! It is the shower that everyone loves and comments on.
Their team successfully dealt with my very strict coop board and building super. They kept their cool and got the job done. Using Buildertrend was easy and an excellent way to keep in touch with the team and check on the renovation progress.
