Renovate My Apartment In Prospect HeightsPosted by Amy W. in Prospect Heights
Expecting to close in early-mid February 2016 on our first apartment (2 bed, 1 bath condo).
Functional but...; A little worn; Not my style
Scope of work
Throughout apt: repaint walls and replace wood flooring.
Lights: replace track lighting in kitchen/living area with recessed lighting.
Living room: create ledge/seat along the wall with windows to enclose radiator and create low shelving/storage space.
Kitchen: take down walls, place new refrigerator, new stove, and existing dishwasher against wall and create island with kitchen sink.
Bathroom: retile bathroom, replace existing shower, sink, and toilet (layout remains the same).
Master Bedroom: reconfigure closets, build enclosure for radiator.
2nd Bedroom: build enclosure for radiator.
Balcony: replace wood on balcony.
This is our first apartment and first renovation, and Andrey was so great to us throughout the process. As clients, we were honestly probably difficult clients to have since we were picky at times, but Andrey and his team were flexible and responsive to our needs. We appreciated having someone there who seemed as invested in getting our apartment right as we were. He paid attention to detail and voiced his opinion when we overlooked things. We are so happy with the results.
Whenever there were unforeseen challenges (for instance, a dip in the floors and unconventional piping in the bathroom), they were quick to communicate the nature of the issue and come up with a solution that worked for us.
