Stamford Condo RefreshPosted by Lauren D. in Stamford
The condo that my boyfriend and I are purchasing needs a little bit of love and updating. We love the condo complex and the location, but we knew the space was going to need a little work. Comps that have sold in the complex have updated the units in various ways. One of the most impactful is replacing the wall to wall carpet with flooring. In addition to replacing flooring (on the main level - kitchen, living/dining, and powder room) - we are also looking to make other tweaks and fixes to the house to make it feel more like us and freshen it up.
A little worn; Not my style; Outdated
Scope of work
Kitchen: paint existing cabinets and add hardware, replace track lighting and consider adding recessed lighting (4 hi-hats), replace broken microwave with new microwave and make sure venting works, replace countertops and add new sink, install new luxury vinyl plank flooring
Living Room/Dining Room: replace light fixture with recessed lighting (4 hi-hats), remove floor to ceiling mirrors in corner alcove, hang TV and hide wires, replace sliding glass door with new sliding glass door, replace carpet with luxury vinyl plank flooring
Powder room: replace existing flooring with vinyl plank flooring, replace toilet, paint vanity and change hardware
Upstairs Bathroom: assess the bathroom situation to see if shower tile surround just needs to be re-grouted and re-fininshed or if it needs to be completely replaced, remove glass shower enclosure
Laundry Closet: add new bi-fold doors
Whole unit: new wall paint and trim
