Fix Up Apt 2l

Posted by Saul C. in Lower East Side
Brief description

I've owned this apartment for years and it needs a full cosmetic renovation. The apartment is totally empty and doesn't need any major structural work but needs new floors, cabinets, paint, bathroom tile, fixtures, etc.

I have picked out all of the materials -- cabinets, floor, paint, tiles, etc. but need help doing the work as well as submitting the required paperwork to the building's architect.

Matt and his team did a fantastic job. From the start, Matt was highly responsive and a pleasure to deal with. He answered phone calls and responded to text messages at all hours and helped us navigate an onerous co-op's paperwork requirements to get the job started. Once work started, Matt's team worked quickly, were flexible, and produced great work. When something didn't look right or work out as planned, they worked with us to make sure it was done right. Matt personally made countless pickup runs to Home Depot as products that we had ordered for the renovation arrived on a nearly daily basis. He was also very helpful in identifying local suppliers for items like kitchen cabinets and countertops. They wound up producing excellent work at very reasonable prices and much more quickly than Home Depot or other national chains were able to deliver. Matt's team always went the extra mile to make sure that things looked good and turned out well. In the end, they completely transformed a ramshackle apartment into a place that looks brand new and top of the line. On a personal level, Matt is personable, honest, and very easy to work with. We won't hesitate to use him again and to recommend him to friends and family.

When we encountered some problems with our co-op during the renovation, Matt took full financial and personal responsibility for resolving the issue as quickly as possible. It was clear from the way that he handled those issues that he is honest and takes a lot of pride in his work.
