Master Bathroom In Prospect Heights Needs To Soar To New HeightsPosted by Sari R. in Prospect Heights
My master ensuite bathroom is too small with a horrible layout and no storage. I want to keep the layout as is, but gut renovate with all new fixtures, tile, etc.
Scope of work
I would like to:
add a pocket door, new lighting, new toilet, new sink, new tile, new shower, shower door, storage, add radiant flooring, and add a recessed medicine cabinet if possible.
Erion was fantastic to work with and I will definitely work with him again the future. He went with the flow as I started to remove items from the proposal and he actually installed extra items that we never estimated to do. He fixed things that needed adjusting without charging me extra money and without attitude. He checked with me step by step, which I appreciated. His team worked diligently and were very clean. Erion stopped by every single day, he's no slacker. Since this was my first time renovating, there are a few things I would do differently, however they were my choice or I didn't quite think it all through.
Erion and his team were meticulous and communicative about everything. I absolutely love my bathroom and everything is exactly how I want it. They also kept to the timeline, estimated 4-5 weeks and he completed the renovation in exactly 5 weeks, even with the leak issues.
Erion handled change orders and surprises very well. Once the demo was completed, we found that there were 2 leaks coming from neighboring apartments. Erion let me know right away, so the building management was able to rectify those leaks within a day, which enable the renovations to continue. One mistake, once the recessed mirror and sink were installed, the faucet was too high, so you could not open the mirror with the sink faucet on. He removed the mirror, reframed, and reinstalled so there is enough clearance. The grout for the floor that I had purchased, while being the darkest grey they had, lighted once used. I didn't like it, so he purchased another grout and re-grouted the floor for only $200.00. Money well spent to give the floor a more seamless appearance.
