Renovate My Kitchen In Jersey City - Historic DowntownPosted by Kate S. in Jersey City - Historic Downtown
I've lived in my brownstone condo for 16 years and have finally decided that it is time to renovate my 80s era kitchen.
Design and Build
Functional but...; Outdated; A little worn
My brownstone was converted to condos in the 1980s so the kitchen is over 30 years old. The hardwood floor needs a little repair work but I wasn't planning on replacing unless necessary.
Scope of work
Modify layout to include bar stools for breakfast bar
New cabinets, counter and backsplash
Knock down area above existing cabinets to allow for high cabinets
James was very easy to work with, especially during the initial design phase, when he sat down and listened to my thoughts and gave advice and ideas that really brought the design together. Not only is his work fabulous but he was very conscious of staying within my budget. Also, I appreciated that he made sure that I was without a functioning kitchen for as little time as possible.
The cabinets are gorgeous, even better than I imagined. The custom-built breakfast bar is also beautiful. I am so thrilled with my new kitchen!
There were one or two surprises which James handled professionally and promptly.
